LIPHT and Fall

Hello everyone, just a little update on what's going down in LIPHT land.
We've had a fantastic summer this year, playing two of Alberta's music festivals and the mayhem that was the BandRanch pre-party. Alberta's Own was an at-home feel rock gathering where we met new friends including Wide Mouth Mason. BandRanch was a huge, rockin', party. Every year for the past 3 LIPHT has had the privilege of playing this amazing festival and every year it gets better. LIPHT debuted the song "Left Behind" this summer and is now studio bound. When asked "How many songs are you going to record?" I answer... still not sure. Also this summer saw the first acoustic set ever performed by LIPHT at the centennial celebration of Entwhistle. The sound was great and the set was tight. Hand drums snuck a foot into LIPHT's music. So summer rocked and we met some beautiful and amazing people along the way. Stay safe my friends, see you at the next show, be good to each other.

LIPHT is very excited to announce that our CD "A Generation Removed" will be completed very shortly. The studio work with Resonance Industries has been an incredible experience, each member has put their heart and soul into the disc and the sound speaks these volumes. Expect the release by summer, and thanks to all you kickass supporters who make this possible.

December update

LIPHT has made it through the second round of the Bodog Battle and will compete in Calgary on January 27th. The support of our fans has been overwhelming and we want to thank you all. We are truly fortunate that there are passionate, music loving people out there who work very hard allowing bands like LIPHT to play to new audiences.  Thanks to Jet Nightclub for an awesome venue and amazing sound. Thank you to Bodog for the opportunity to play and for organizing an event that showcases local talent. Tickets for the Calgary show are available now, purchase through the band or on this site.

October 8th, 2007

Thanks to everyone that came out for the first round of finals for the Bodog Battle at Jet Nightclub on October 7th. Lipht has made it to the second round which will take place on December 2nd, 2007 at Jet Nightclub. Tickets are $10 and are available through the band either in person, or you can purchase them through the store on this website.  Please come out and support the local talent that are competing for the million dollar contract.  We truely appreciate and need your support.

The first round will be held at Jet Nightclub on October 7th (Thanksgiving Sunday of the long weekend). Lipht takes the stage at 9:40 pm, so finish up your turkey and come down to cheer them on!

Hey everyone, the website is up, we love it and hope you do too.

As you know, LIPHT has undergone some changes in the last 6 months, but they are back in full stride with a growing line up of shows starting October 2nd at Jet Nightclub. The approaching months will take LIPHT not only into the studio but also out on the road. LIPHT is excited for the challenges that they face, and very proud of the support of their fans.

LIPHT has been working on new material as well, and wanted their fans to know (in the words of guitarist Jose Rodas) "They haven't heard heavy yet!"
